Journalist Amr Adeeb seeks 3 million pounds in compensation from Mohamed Ramadan

The South Giza Court is considering the first session of the compensation case brought by the journalist Amr Adeeb against Mohamed Ramadan in the amount of 3 million pounds, after a final ruling was issued fining Ramadan 300,000 pounds for insulting Amr Adeeb.

The judiciary set the date of September 28 to consider the file.
Earlier, the Economic Court ruled to fine the artist Mohamed Ramadan 300,000 pounds, on charges of insulting and defaming the journalist Amr Adeeb, and misusing social media, and obliging him to pay 10,000 pounds as civil compensation. It also ruled to reject the lawsuit corresponding to the lawsuit of the journalist Amr Adeeb.

The ruling in the case of Amr Adeeb and Mohamed Ramadan came earlier after the investigating authorities in October referred the petitions submitted by the journalist Amr Adeeb against the artist Mohamed Ramadan, on charges of insult and defamation, to criminal trial.

According to Egypt Times, investigations into the case found that the artist deliberately disturbed the Egyptian journalist by misusing communications equipment.

The crisis began when Amr Adeeb, through his program “Al-Hekaya,” attacked the artist Mohamed Ramadan, after he published a video clip of him throwing dollars into the water, following the issuance of a court ruling requiring him to pay 6 million pounds to an Egyptian pilot.

Adeeb strongly criticized the “legend”, saying: “Oh Muhammad, who we think is Moses, will become Pharaoh. Professor (Number One) has angered a large number of people who love him. This man, frankly, has become his own enemy. I cannot understand. What is in his brain and what is he thinking?” How come… Number One, you don’t notice that you’ve been doing bad things for a year?

Adeeb added: “The people whom you provoked forgave you a lot. Every time something happens, they tell you no, they don’t mean it. But the issue this time is that people cannot bear it. May God bless you, and you still have money, and you are not the only one who has money. There are many people who have money to support you.” 100 times and they don’t do that.”

Mohamed Ramadan could not bear Amr Adeeb’s attack, and decided to enter into a confrontation with him, so he published a video clip from the “Legend” series, pushing someone away from him, and putting Amr Adeeb’s voice in the background, and responded to him with the sentence, “But, dad.”

In turn, Adeeb considered Ramadan’s behavior a major transgression and threatened to sue him, saying: “If no one raised you, I will raise you. This country has a law that applies to everyone.. You are not better than many people. Your Lord is generous and I will take my right under the law.. The coming days, be sullen, let us We go to the courts and get our rights.”
He concluded by saying: “I asked my lawyer to file a case against the artist Mohamed Ramadan, and any money I will get from him, I will donate to the Children’s Hospital in Abu Al-Rish… I am not the type of person who takes his right to transgression, and oh me, oh you.”
