Journalist Ahmed Moussa on Egypt’s Record Breaking 41% Inflation

Journalist Ahmed Moussa said that inflation in Egypt last month reached 41%, commenting: “It’s not a happy surprise.”

And the journalist, Ahmed Moussa, added, during his presentation of the “On My Responsibility” program, broadcast on the “Sada Al-Balad” satellite channel: “This may be the largest inflation figure in the history of Egypt,” pointing out: “The Central Bank announced an increase in the annual inflation rate to 41% in June. 2023″.

He pointed out: “Inflation has negatively affected the Egyptian citizen during the recent period,” explaining: “The largest inflation rate ever in Egypt, and an increase in inflation rates means an increase in prices.”

He explained: “The government was late in theses and exiting the state… and increasing the participation of the private sector in economic activities.”
