He does not exist a journalism, but rather of journalism. It is wrong to believe that all are essential to the public’s right to information and to the democratic health of our societies. In this short, daring work that challenges a certain mythology, the author offers a complex vision, without complacency or hostility, of the real media ecosystem. This makes it possible to think better about journalism, both those which are really essential to democracy and which fully deserve well-targeted public aid and those which are more geared towards promotion and entertainment.
