The Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets, first and third in the Western Conference, as well as the Boston Celtics, second in the Eastern Conference, all won Friday night in the NBA, and maintain their position in the standings.
The Warriors won with a short header on the floor of New Orleans (112-108). The Pelicans led by one point halfway through, and remained threatening until the end, but the visiting team, in which Andrew Wiggins stood out by scoring 30 points with a good success percentage of -64, 2% at two points, 60% at 3), had the last word.
The Boston Celtics, the defending champions, the day after their reception by President Joe Biden at the White House, remained in Washington where they beat the Wizards (108-96), led by Jaylen Brown, author of 31 points despite a lot of waste (11 out of 27 only on shots, including 3 out of 13 at three points).
The Celtics only led by three points at the end of the third quarter, before widening the gap in the last.
The Houston Rockets, at home, beat the Portland Trail Blazers more comfortably (116-88), winning every quarter. The teammates of Dillon Brooks, his team’s top scorer with 28 points, had already taken cover at halftime, where they were already 20 lengths ahead.
In Chicago, the Bulls collective, with three players with 20 points or more, made the difference against Atlanta, defeated without question 136 to 122.
In this Eastern Conference, three teams, Chicago, Detroit and Atlanta, have the same win-loss ratio (7, v, 10 d), and are just behind Milwaukee, which is sixth, in the standings.
The Bucks beat the Indiana Pacers (129-117), with a brilliant Giannis Antetokounmpo, author of a new triple double with 37 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists, and 66.7% shooting success (14 out of 21 ).

## World Today News: NBA Roundup – An Interview
**Host:** Welcome back to World Today News! Tonight, we’re diving deep into the exciting world of the NBA with two esteemed guests: seasoned sports analyst, **Mike Riley**, and former NBA player, **Jasmine King**.
**[Opening Graphic with NBA logo and World Today News branding.]**
**Host:** First off, Mike, let’s talk about the Western Conference. Gold State and Houston are holding strong at the top. What are your thoughts on their performances and the potential challenges they might face?
**Mike Riley:** Well, the Warriors are looking like their usual dominant selves. Wiggins had a phenomenal game against New Orleans, proving he’s a crucial piece to their offense.
Houston, on the other hand, is showing impressive consistency.
**Host:** Jasmine, from your experience as a player, how important is consistency in a long and grueling NBA season?
**Jasmine King:** Consistency is everything. It’s not just about winning streaks, it’s about maintaining that level of focus and performance night after night.
That’s what separates the good teams from the great teams.

**Host:**
Let’s shift gears to the Eastern Conference. Boston remains a force to be reckoned with, but they had a close call against Washington.
Jasmine, what do you think about this Celtics team after their White House visit? Can they maintain their momentum?
**Jasmine King:**
The Celtics are a team with a ton of talent and experience. Visiting the White House is a special moment, but it can be a distraction.
It’s important for them to refocus and remember they still have a long season ahead.

**Host:**
Mike, the Chicago Bulls are
making waves in the Eastern Conference.
Their collective effort against Atlanta was impressive. Could they be a dark horse contender?
**Mike Riley:**
The Bulls definitely have the potential. They have a balanced roster with multiple scoring threats.
However, the Eastern Conference is incredibly competitive. They need to prove they can consistently play at
a high level against top opponents.
**[Visual: Highlights from the Bulls vs. Hawks game, emphasizing key players.]**
**Host:** And of course, we can’t forget about Milwaukee. Giannis Antetokounmpo is on fire.
Do you think
they can repeat their championship success, Mike?
**Mike Riley:** Giannis is arguably the best player in the league right now.
He’s a force to be reckoned with.
If he can stay healthy and the Bucks maintain their intensity, they are absolutely a contender.
**Jasmine King:**
It’s truly remarkable to witness Giannis’s dominance. But basketball is a team sport. The Bucks need to be firing on all cylinders if they want to make another deep playoff run.
