Liverpool –
Mohamed Salah do not consider Diogo Jota as a competitor. For Salah, Jota’s presence makes the Firmansah trio work easier.
There is no denying that the trio Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, and Salah is a mainstay Liverpool for three consecutive years. All three have brought the club to the Premier League and Champions League titles.
As the most frightening front line trio in Europe at this time, Firmino, Salah and Mane are so relied on by Liverpool. Whether it’s scoring goals or providing assists between the three and other players.
However, the tricky issue so far is when Liverpool’s quality has dropped dramatically when all three are about to be rotated. Divock Origi or Takumi Minamino cannot be a substitute for it.
The problem was then resolved by bringing in Diogo Jota last summer. The purchase of 43 million pounds from Wolverhampton was not in vain because Whom immediately moncer.
Jota has scored eight goals in 12 appearances, including one goal when he beat Leicester City 3-0 and became the top scorer for both teams after Salah. Seeing Jota’s current performance, Salah is not happy to play.
For that Egyptian player, Whom isn’t a competitor to worry about. Because of presence Diogo Jota will make it easier for the Firmansah trio to work in the attack line.
“We are happy with his presence. As team-mates, we encourage each other in the training session. Seeing your new team-mate score a lot of goals immediately, you are certainly happy. Because he will help your team and facilitate our work in attack,” Salah said as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
“Hopefully this will happen again and again. Good start for his confidence, because he can score quite a lot of goals,” he continued.
“Of course this is great, when you are another player who can score a lot of goals. Now we can play with four attackers because there is Diogo or stay with the trio,” concluded Mohamed Salah.
