The vows ceremony at the Josselin hospital is a ritual ceremony, but this year takes on a special dimension for several reasons. It is first of all the first time that it can be held in “face-to-face” since January 2019. And then this ceremony marks a historic turning point for the establishment. It was the last time it took place in the dining room of the Emeraude building, the usual place for this annual meeting. This building will indeed be demolished over the next few months as part of the hospital’s vast reconstruction project. This vows ceremony therefore symbolizes the turn that this establishment will take in the coming weeks with the announced end of this titanic project. This will be the major event of this year 2023 and even of the next few weeks.

Erwan Privat, the site’s deputy director, as well as Philippe Couturier, the director of the GHBA first paid tribute to the commitment of professionals facing the health crisis. Erwan Privat confirmed the schedule established 3 years ago with the end of the work confirmed for March 23rd and a move being organized for the week of May 23rd. “We are in the cards…”, he explains, stressing that this deadline is not without consequences for the staff and generates social tensions. He listed the other projects that are looming for the hospital, in particular that of the creation of a third place. “2023 will be a year of achievement in terms of quality of life at work”, he promises, listing the new premises and equipment including a comfortable break room created with the support of the Fondation des Hôpitaux de France and new services “for the benefit of caregivers and professionals of the establishment (massage, reflexology), but also “a year of openness” towards the city with exterior development work, towards families and users with the creation of a house for users in the within the hospital, towards the partners of the territory.

“2023 will be for our hospital group the year of the renewal of its strategic orientations, the deployment of our project to transform the offer of care with the launch of the construction of the EHPAD of Ploërmel, the MRI and the deployment of our territorial PGD project (note: computerized patient file)” described Philippe Couturier, recalling that “2023 will be a decisive year for Josselin, mainly with the entry into the new building”. He lists the open house, the inauguration, the move, support for teams, residents and their families “in this project which will mobilize us a lot in the 1st half of 2023 and beyond. We will need time to adapt to our new premises, to the new organisations. »

Mayor of Josselin and departmental councillor, Nicolas Jagoudet recalled that the city is also involved in the reconstruction of the hospital. “It will be 400,000 euros injected directly into the reconstruction plan with the addition of the development of the surroundings and the multimodal hub. He provided strong support to the “tired” staff and expressed the wish that a dialogue would be established. As departmental councilor, he insisted on the will of the chairman of the council, David Lappartient, to make the current mandate that of the social, to which 65% of the departmental budget is devoted.
