– I have no words, Josefine said when she and Oskar were awarded the MGPjr trophy.
Followed by a sobbing thank you, Josefine hopes the duo has infected someone with their song.
Josefine and Oskar were inspired by the corona when they wrote the song, according to NRK.
Lovet show
Almost 900 entries were submitted before this year’s edition, and 12 young finalists fought on Saturday to take home the victory. This year, as last year, it was youtuber Victor Sotberg and Supernytt presenter Selma Ibrahim who led the final. Ahead of the final, they promised a show we have never seen before.
– It’s a little nervous. We will do something that has never been done before. In addition, we will have eight stages this year, one for each artist, Sotberg told NRK.
– It will be so much fun, and there are so many good artists this year, Ibrahim said.
According to project manager Eva Rutgerson Bie, many of this year’s submitted contributions are about both the finalists’ everyday lives and what is important to them.
– This year, as last year, many songs were submitted about mental health and being good enough. It is also about being able to spread joy and hope when we are in the middle of a pandemic, says Rutgerson Bie.
