Josefa traded the MasterChef pressure cooker for the courts

Gone are pots, pans and the prominence that is achieved by being in a television program, because three years after her time at MasterChef, Josefa Barraza changed the chip and today she develops as a journalist, which even led her to represent abroad to the country.

The 25-year-old girl went freelance and sold to the media what she knew best to do, and no, it’s not a lemon pie, but reports. “With the social outbreak I began to publish more and the notice came to me that I had been shortlisted for a scholarship for young journalism in a report on Sename,” explained Puentealtina.

– Then they called you “The voice of the leftovers”. Yes, they offered to write for them and I felt very comfortable, because they did not care that I came from MasterChef, they never despised me for appearing on television. It is a very nice dynamic, it is nice to see that they trust you.

– Now you are covering the Antonia Barra case. Yes, I realized that I like judicial journalism, they always delegate these topics to me, because I read all the files, I see the formalizations of up to eight hours.

– How did you get to this area? Due to things in life, I was reporting on Sename and it started to attract my attention, then with the outbreak I saw the cases of the detainees and there I hooked more. Who would have thought that Josefa from MasterChef would end up covering judicial issues! Hahaha.

– Another area that tempts you? I am fine with what I do now, it is what I like, I do not see myself doing entertainment or politics, perhaps some sport, but for now I am left with the trials.

– Are you still cooking? Little, little things, more amateur, to pass the time, because it is something that relaxes me and, as they told me in ‘MC’, you do not have to work on what relaxes you.

– What do you highlight about your time in the program? With the broadcast of the first two seasons I had many memories. Now seeing those moments further away I realized that I did not enjoy it as much as I should, because I was always very nervous. I entered the programs almost shivering from the nerve of the cameras and the pressure of the dishes. I always talk to Faryd, also with Bundy, Aunt Myriam, Jorge and Sandra, now we are friends, hahaha.
