The cabaret artist Josef Hader can get used to playing in front of a masked audience in the Corona crisis. “I can imagine playing for one half from seven to nine and for the other half from nine to eleven,” said Struggle the Süddeutsche Zeitung. He hardly sees the appearance affected.
“Advantage” of the cabaret artist
“Compared to the theater people, we cabaret artists have the advantage that we can react more strongly to everything,” he explained. “We make a few jokes about the masks, then we forget them and continue playing.” He regards playing in front of an audience as his profession. He regards appearances in film and on television as excursions. “My core profession is that I write something on a piece of paper, memorize it, go on stage and play in front of other people,” said the Upper Austrian.
When asked where he was planning his next vacation trip, answered Struggle: “To Italy. Maybe I’ll go after Bergamo and sit down in the Citta Alta to the Piazza Vecchia. Then I know that crisis is over. I would like that.”
Resetarits is raging
Colleague Luke Resetarits doesn’t see the whole thing so relaxed. In a video he made his obvious annoyance about the domestic cultural policy in times of Corona Luft.
