A comedy about how a racing doctor wants to research the effect of milk on preventing silicosis, but has to talk some miners into drinking milk in public, which seems like a superhuman feat. Acting greats such as Vladimír Menšík, Josef Kemr, Jan Skopeček, Josef Dvořák, Petr Nárožný and others appeared in the main roles of the film Parta hic. Several interesting things are connected with the film, which was shot for 3 years.
Director Hynek Bočan faced problems due to the then regime. At first he turned down work on this comedy, but given that he had previously been banned from filming for five years and was now threatened with another, he accepted the direction. However, he had one condition, namely that he would choose some of the actors himself and add a comedy part to the film itself. This is followed by the problem with filling the role of racing doctor. She was originally supposed to play here Iva Janžurová, but she rejected it. So the director wanted to cast Jaroslava Obermaierovábut he didn’t get away with it. Regina Rázlova because at that time, as the daughter of the prime minister, she could choose her own role, and no one could do anything about it.
Actor Josef Kemr he was strongly religious and refused to act in the film because of the scene with all the actors taking a shower together. Nudity in front of the camera was unacceptable for him. In the end, he was persuaded and managed the scene. Originally, the director wanted to cast Josef Kemr in a different role, that of ROH chairman Rudla Janeček, who he portrayed Václav Babka. However, they answered his request that he was not crazy, because Kemr is strongly religious and he is not a good fit for the head of trade unions.
Pro Vladimir Menšík, who suffered from severe asthma, the filming was very difficult due to the ubiquitous dust. The medical attendants had to deal with him every time, because in the dusty environment he repeatedly had asthma attacks requiring immediate intervention. He was always on oxygen between flaps. In addition, he always had to be brought to the mine by a mine cart, because he would not be able to get there himself due to his asthma.
Josef Dvořák he lost his front teeth during filming. He refused to drink with one of the regulars in the pub, saying that the next day he was shooting demanding scenes in Ostrava and that he didn’t like it. Finally it came down to fists.
