Man. United did not facilitate the departure of Dalot and the Rossoneri leaders opted for Roma’s full-back
Alessandro Florenzi will join Milan on loan from Roma. The Rossoneri club finds a solution for the right flank and the emblem of the Italian capital ‘gets rid’ of a player with significant weight in the salary mass. Champion at the last European, Florenzi does not enter José Mourinho’s accounts for the new season (he did not even travel to the Algarve internship) and, like what happened in the last two seasons – with spells in Valencia and PSG –, he is again given away. This time the deal, explained journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, includes a mandatory buy-in clause, should Milan qualify for the Champions League in 2022 and the 30-year-old defender fulfills a certain number of games.
Sevilla also showed interest in the Italian international and, according to the portal ‘Il Romanista’, even proposed the former Sporting Gudelj as a bargaining chip, as Mourinho continues to look for a midfielder after failing to sign Xhaka. But Milan’s arguments were stronger and convinced Florenzi and Roma, who initially wanted a permanent exit.
Milan’s priority was the return of Diogo Dalot, a full-back who was loaned by United last season and with a good performance. So that Solskjaer, coach of the red devils, did not facilitate a new loan and seems determined to keep the young Portuguese. In any case, the Manchester club requires a budget of between four and five million euros to return to Dalot. A value that led Milan to think of alternatives and reach Florenzi.
