José Miguel Vivanco: “Evo Morales was criticized, but the coup d’etat in Bolivia is inadmissible”

José Miguel Vivanco, executive director for the Americas of Human Rights Watch, believes that it was unacceptable that Evo Morales he will resign from the presidency of Bolivia at the suggestion of the military chief because that is like a coup d’etat. In the case of Mexico, Vivanco says that he does not see that the authorities give priority to the issue of human rights and that although there is a commitment to the search for the disappeared, there is none to know who was responsible. Vivanco spoke with Carmen Aristegui in the framework of the presentation of the 2020 Human Rights Watch World Report.
