José León Bernal (02/03/1995, Madrid) will be a new CD Tenerife player for the next two seasons. Real Madrid youth squad since 2004, the new Tenerife defender joins the island discipline with extensive experience in the second category of Spanish football. Winner of the Champions Cup with the Madrid Youth, José León defended the colors of the lower categories of the Spanish National Team.
He made his debut in Second Division B in the hands of the Real Madrid third team, playing that same year his first game with Real Madrid Castilla in the Second Division. With the first Madrid team he played forty-two games in two different stages. Although a serious injury kept him away for several months, he was a participant in the promotion of Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa to LaLiga SmartBank in the 2016/2017 season.
After a brief stint at Rayo Vallecano and a loan at AFC Eskilstuna (13 games) of the Swedish First Division, José León would settle in LaLiga Smartbank, first CF Fuenlabrada with 21 participations, and in the season just ended in the ranks of AD Alcorcón with a total of 38 games, showing solidity and defensive work.
