Jort Kelder Denies Relationship Rumors with Op1 Colleague Welmoed Sijtsma

“I really like Welmoed. And enchanting, especially on screen. She is someone who splashes off the screen,” said the 58-year-old presenter on Sunday Rooijakkers On The Floor. “Apart from the fact that I’m the same age as her father, which would technically make for a strange Christmas dinner, we don’t like each other. We like each other.”

Kelder went on to say that he is not good at relationships because he is “a bit of a loner”. “Lau was the last one,” he told Art Rooijakkers, referring to his relationship with presenter Lauren Verster. The couple split in 2015 after more than five years. “Since then there were some girlfriends, but not really relationships or anything.”

What Kelder misses when he’s not in a relationship? “Highs, lows, I process all of that alone, yes. That’s kind of weird, yes. But this is bourgeois bubbling. I chose this. And if I were to fall in love or stumble across someone I really like, nothing is excluded. But for now I will continue like this.”
