Jort Kelder has had quite a few relationships, among others with Georgina Verbaan and Lauren Verster, but says he likes to find that he is still unbound.
“I cherish my solitary existence, but if a pigeon flies in my net, we will see how it goes,” he says in the AD. The 55-year-old presenter calls himself “a mop” in love. “I don’t really have an impressive track record.”
Despite the fact that his relationships often fail, he is often asked for advice. “Sometimes I get a call from friends who have relationship problems and then I say: are you really asking me for advice?”
Kelder currently resides on Terschelling, but there is not exactly a storm in terms of women. “This is a place on earth where you can be incredibly monogamous. Short spicy with windbreaker, that’s the women here. Not quite my interest. I live a secluded life with my British short-haired cats Harry and Carlos, and I’m quite happy , hear.”
Who, like Kelder, has been single for years is his good friend Mark Rutte. Kelder has maintained a close relationship with him for years. They will see each other again soon on Terschelling. “Then we watch documentaries, archival footage from the seventies, preferably about Joop den Uyl.”
