The president of FC Porto admitted that he would have gone “more cheerful” to see Luís Osório’s show at Casa da Música if the dragons had eliminated Inter in the Champions League
Pinto da Costa was one of the many personalities that this Wednesday were present at the show “Secret Files”, by Luís Osório, which took place at Casa da Música, in Porto.
In the end, the president of FC Porto spoke about the event, but not about current football, saying that he would be “more happy” if the dragons had beaten Inter in the Champions League, but the elimination would never come to fail the commitment to be gift.
Asked about the fact that he was praised by Luís Osório, a confirmed Benfica fan, the Porto leader replied: “I have great friends who are staunch supporters of Benfica. I don’t confuse friendship with the clubs. There are people from FC Porto that I cannot like and like people from other clubs”.
“I remember, even if everyone knows, the former president of Benfica, Fernando Martins. We were truly friends and even today he is a man I miss. Whenever I enter the Hotel Altis, in Lisbon, I remember that he was always there to receive us, he appeared at meals. Friendship is not about clubs, it has to do with empathy”, he added.
“It was an interesting show, especially the part where [Luis Osório] He spoke of people I knew well, like General Ramalho Eanes, with whom I am extremely friendly. He also spoke about two of my brothers and that touched me”, said Pinto da Costa, about the show he had just watched.
