The prize for the best television interview of the year in 2020 may go to Joris Linssen, Adriaan van Dis or Eva Jinek. They are among the ten contenders for the Sonja Barend Award.
Linssen has a chance with an interview Hello Goodbye, which aired on July 28. Van Dis competes in his conversation with Yuval Noah Harari and Jinek with her interview with Henk Krol.
Among the nominees are Matthijs van Nieuwkerk, for his interview with Selma van de Perre in The world moves on, and Coen Verbraak with Liesbeth Beukeboom in Srebrenica – the powerless mission of Dutchbat.
Jeroen Wollaars (conversation with Marion Koopmans in News hour), Hugo Logtenberg (with Sigrid Kaag in Buitenhof), Antoinette Hertsenberg (with Joris Wilton in Radar) and Tijs van den Brink (with Theo Maassen, in Adieu God?) have been nominated.
The winner of the Sonja Barend Award will be announced on October 22 in Eve on NPO1.
