Jorge Martin win Japanese MotoGP Sprint Race 2023 at the Motegi Circuit, Saturday (30/9), to put extraordinary pressure on Francesco Bagnaia at the top of the standings.

Martin managed to beat Brad Binder in the 2023 Japanese MotoGP Sprint Race. Meanwhile, the third podium belonged to Bagnaia who won an exciting duel over Binder’s KTM teammate, Jack Miller.

This is Martin’s third consecutive Sprint Race win this season after San Marino and India. In total, the Pramac racer has won five wins in the 2023 MotoGP Sprint Race.

In the 12 lap Sprint Race MotoGP Japan 2023, Martin started the race with a perfect start, while the KTM duo Jack Miller and Brad Binder managed to pressure Francesco Bagnaia until Pecco dropped to fourth position. Meanwhile, Marc Marquez performed well by climbing two positions to fifth in the first lap.

Bagnaia struggled to catch the three racers in front of him. Entering the second lap, the Ducati racer was already 0.4 seconds behind Miller in third position.

Five laps passed, the winning duel was just Martin vs Binder. Miller is increasingly lagging behind in third position, especially Bagnaia. Miller is already 1.5 seconds behind Binder in second place.

A more interesting competition occurred in the fight for fifth position between Johann Zarco, Marc Marquez, Marco Bezzecchi and Aleix Espargaro. Zarco took advantage of the tight competition between Marquez and Bezzechi to take fifth place on lap eight.

Entering lap 9, an exciting duel took place between Miller vs Bagnaia to win the final podium. After failing to overtake Miller on a number of occasions, Bagnaia finally took third place after overtaking Miller at corner 11 of lap ten.

Martin finally won the 2023 Japanese MotoGP Sprint Race by beating Binder and Bagnaia.

This result makes Martin only eight points away from Bagnaia at the top of the 2023 MotoGP standings. Martin could top the standings during the 2023 Japanese MotoGP race, Sunday (1/10).
