Test in Sepang: Ducati still the fastest
In the meantime, on the Malaysian circuit of Sepang the “old” Ducati is even faster. For the moment, at least. Morbidelli marked the best time trial on the second day of testing by putting himself behind the Yamaha of Quartararo – which confirms an interesting state of form and the progress of the M1 – and the other GP24 (Targate Gresini) by Alex Marquez and Fermoìn Aldeguer. Pecco Bagnaia closes in 5th place with one of the new jewels of Borgo Panigale: Marc Marquez could also have been among the best, but at the end of the session in Time-Attack he fell to curve 9 (when he had 2 tenths of gaps from ‘ Frankie ‘) and does not go beyond a 14th place. Another comforting performance for Joan Mir with Honda (6th), not the same for his boxing partner Luca Marini (15th). For now, Enea Bastianini seems to be in difficulty with the KTM: the beast has not managed to do better than the 17th time trial.
