Legend MotoGP Jorge Lorenzo blames Francesco Bagnaia because of excessive celebration after winning Mandalika MotoGP Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2023, Sunday (15/10).
Bagnaia successfully emerged as the winner of the 2023 Mandalika Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia MotoGP at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Sunday (15/10).
Bagnaia’s victory was also inseparable because Jorge Martin fell on the 13th lap while leading the Mandalika Pertamina Grand Prix MotoGP race.
Bagnaia successfully took advantage of this situation to continue to advance to the leading position until finally winning the 2023 Mandalika Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia MotoGP followed by Maverick Vinales and Fabio Quartararo.
This victory made Bagnaia move back to the top of the 2023 MotoGP standings, replacing Jorge Martin. Bagnaia also expressed his success by celebrating on the podium and then in the Ducati garage.
However, Bagnaia’s celebration in the Ducati garage was considered excessive by MotoGP legend Jorge Lorenzo. Lorenzo assessed that Bagnaia’s celebration could trigger Jorge Martin’s emotions to rise.
When he was on the motorbike after finishing and when he got on the podium, Bagnaia celebrated with a hand gesture to his ear as if he wanted to listen to people who were talking a lot.
Then Bagnaia also celebrated the victory with overwhelming euphoria when he was with the Ducati team after the race. Pecco said ‘people talk too much’ in the post-race press conference.
“Gestures are not good. Don’t make ‘beasts’ [Martin] it’s angry. This is not over. “Keep your enemy calm, don’t irritate him,” said Lorenzo as quoted from Crash.
Lorenzo also suggested that Bagnaia should be more humble even though he is ahead of Martin in the 2023 MotoGP standings.
“It’s better for him to keep a low profile. He was a little lucky because Martin made that mistake [MotoGP Mandalika Pertamina Grand Prix],” said Lorenzo.
” Still low profile and don’t make Jorge [Martin] angry because he will come with greater power,” Lorenzo added.
