“Beat the Star” saw a duel of a special kind on Saturday evening. Both love fashion, but Jorge González and Thomas Hayo couldn’t be more different. In the end there was a fair loser and a brilliant winner.

In the 50th edition of “beat the celebrity“fought choreographer and stylist Jorge González and creative director Thomas Hayo against each other. The program included games such as table tennis squash, excavator rides or ladder slalom at a height of ten meters. After 13 rounds and the classic “Ringing The Bullchen”, Thomas Hayo was the winner, winning 100,000 euros.
Jorge González is the winner of the heart
Jorge González seemed relaxed about his defeat. He wrote on Instagram after the show: “I congratulate you Papichu, it was a lot of fun and now we drink a mojito, but you pay and don’t forget: I also want a pair of high heels.”
For some fans, the 52-year-old was the “winner of the heart” – many thanked him on social media for an “entertaining” evening. Many of the viewers particularly liked the chemistry between the two opponents: “The two are apparently good friends in private, I think what you notice. A very pleasant constellation today,” wrote someone on Twitter, for example. “I think the show is really very interesting today. The two seem personable,” said another user.
Both Jorge González and Thomas Hayo were already standing Heidi Klum with your search for “Germany’s next Topmodel”. From 2011 to 2018 Hayo was a juror GNTM. González followed in 2009 Bruce Darnell and was the catwalk trainer for the young models. He has been at the side of Motsi Mabuse and Joachim Llambi in the jury of “Let’s dance“.
