On Thursday, Jordanian King Abdullah II agreed to make an amendment to the government of Bishr al-Khasawneh, according to an official government statement.
According to an official statement, the amendments included the appointment of:
1. Appointment of Raed Muzaffar Rifaat Abu Al-Saud, Minister of Water and Irrigation.
2. Appointment of Wajih Tayyab Abdullah Azaiza, Minister of State.
3. Appointment of Ahmed Maher Hamdi Tawfiq Abu Al-Saman, Minister of Public Works and Housing.
4. Appointment of Haditha Jamal Haditha Al-Kharisha, Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs.
5. Appointment of Mr. Youssef Mahmoud Ali Al-Shamali, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply.
6. Appointment of Nadia Abdel Raouf Salem Al Rawabdeh, Minister of Labour.
7. Appointment of Wissam Walid Tawfiq Al-Tahtamouni, Minister of Transport.
8. Appointment of Muhannad Ahmed Salem Al-Mubaideen, Minister of Government Communications.
The ministers took the constitutional oath before the King, at Al-Husseiniya Palace, in the presence of Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh and Head of the Royal Hashemite Court, Yousef Al-Issawi.
The most amended in the country’s history
The Khasawneh government is considered the most reshuffled in the history of Jordan, and in its seventh amendment it included five new ministers while only two left, bringing the total number to 30 ministers.
According to observers, this amendment comes as an indication of the government’s seriousness in preparing for the next stage, which includes many files, most notably:
Holding the next parliamentary elections. Water file and complete the national carrier. Transfer file. Work file. Extension of the vision of economic modernization.
