Jordanian Government Denies Existence of Alternative Land Bridge for Goods to Israel Through Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan

The official Jordanian News Agency (Petra) quoted sources in the Ministries of Transport, Industry and Trade, saying, “The news being circulated attributed to Israeli media and social media about the existence of an alternative land bridge to the Red Sea, through the ports of Dubai, passing through Saudi Arabia and Jordan, to transport goods to Israel, It’s not true at all.”

The sources indicated to the agency that “the Jordanian government’s position is clear regarding supporting the Palestinian brothers and standing by them by all means, and that such allegations are rejected and are publications aimed at confusing the firm Jordanian position regarding what is happening in the Gaza Strip in terms of brutal Israeli aggression.”

Earlier today, the Israeli Walla website reported, “Fresh food shipments were transported through the new alternative land bridge to the Red Sea, via Dubai ports, passing through Saudi Arabia and Jordan, and arriving in Israel.”

The website pointed out that “the trial operation of a new land transport line by trucks through Dubai ports, passing through Saudi Arabia and Jordan, was crowned with success in recent weeks, as the first ten trucks completed the long route from the Gulf ports to Israel.”

Walla explained, “The activity is managed through the Israeli transportation application Traknet, which connects truck owners with customers who need transportation.”
