Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Social media activists shared clips of Saudi Arabia’s Rajwa Al-Saif during her wedding ceremony to Jordan’s Crown Prince, Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, on Thursday.
Activists highlighted the crown worn by Rajah, who was issued a Jordanian royal will granting her the title of “Her Royal Highness, Princess Ragwa Al-Hussein,” and the phrase “May God be pleased with her.”
Activists pointed out that the sentence is taken from a speech delivered by Queen Rania, the mother of the Jordanian crown prince, at a henna ceremony that took place before the wedding ceremony: “Finally, I have a daughter-in-law! From the exuberance of Iman and Salma. I remember from the most hidden month when Hussein, our master, told us and I that he intended to marry. How joyful was our hope. It is a hope that is the sweetest hope from me to the Lord of the worlds for Hussein.
The marriage of Prince Hussein and Rajawa took place in Zahran Palace, in the presence of about 140 guests from members of international royal families and dignitaries, before the royal red procession began to roam the newlyweds through the streets of the capital, Amman, to the Husseiniya Palace.
