Jordan Stolz crushed the competition in the 1000 meters at the World Cup races in Salt Lake City with a world record. The 19-year-old American finished with 1.05.37 under the old top time of the Russian Pavel Kulizhnikov (1.05.69). He was much faster than Zhongyan Ning from China (1.06.97) and David Bosa from Italy (1.07.06).
