Jordan Cancels Biden Summit After Gaza Hospital Explosion: Latest Updates

Jordan has canceled a summit planned for Wednesday between US President Joe Biden and the leaders of Jordan, Egypt and the Palestinian Authority after a hospital explosion in Gaza killed hundreds.

Details: Biden was scheduled to visit Amman, Jordan, on Wednesday following a visit to Tel Aviv the day before. A White House spokesman said Biden will not travel to Jordan.

Dina Kawar, Jordan’s ambassador to the United States, also told CNN that the summit had been cancelled.

What preceded: Palestinian officials blame Israel for the hospital explosion, while Israeli officials say a rocket fired by Islamic Jihad is to blame.
