Jordan Banks was nine years old, cheered on Liverpool, loved to play football, and ran charity races to raise money for mental health.

Blackpool was hit by the powerful storm on Tuesday, and according to BBCAccording to meteorologist Simon King, there were close to 3,000 lightning strikes in northern England between four o’clock and midnight on Tuesday.

Banks’ football club, Clifton Rangers, has published a post on Facebook where they pay tribute to the young boy.
– Jordan was a shining light and an inspiration to everyone he met. A strong, determined and brave young man, who will be missed by all. The world has really lost an extraordinary young man, who has done so much good in his community, writes among other things the club.
Friends and acquaintances have visited the football field where the accident took place and laid flowers and footballs in memory of Banks.
The tourist attraction Blackpool Tower lit up with a red light, in memory of the young Liverpool supporter.
“Tonight we stand with Jordan Banks’ family, friends and the local community to remember a remarkable young man,” wrote one of the tower’s employees. Twitter.
