In episode 8, Sawa took revenge on Makoto by viciously attacking him. Jin was nearing its end, preparing to do one final job.

Episode 9 of the anime Joran: The Princess of Snow and Blood will be released on Wednesday May 26, 2021. The episode title or preview was not displayed.

3. Review of episode 8
Episode 8, titled “Confidential File 642, The Witching Hour,” begins with Sawa getting angry in Makoto.
Makoto managed to initiate Okay by attacking those close to her. She kills teacher Oikawa and Asahi just to get Sawa to return to her former selves.
Sawa furiously attacks Makoto for killing Asahi, but finds Makoto’s changing form is a pretty tough game for her. She takes significant damage to Makoto.
Although they are equally in agreement, the fight seems to eventually favor Sawa. She cuts Makoto deep. Makoto realizes that she has lost and she doesn’t regret dying.
Makoto is glad she can bring back Sawa’s violent self, and she is her main target. However, Sawa resists the urge to kill Makoto with the fatal blow.
Suddenly a dark, bird-like changeling falls from the sky and kills Makoto. Until then, Sawa will lose consciousness and be kidnapped by the same changeling.
The change is then created by Jin, whose purpose is to save Sawa. He is taking her to a secluded place to recover, as she would not have made it to Tokyo in her condition.
After four full days, Sawa regained consciousness. However, she is afflicted with grief and has suicidal tendencies after discovering that everyone she cares for is dead.
When Jin gets something to eat, Sawa tries to kill herself by drowning. However, with the help of the white crow, Jin manages to make it in time and save her.
Sawa begs Jin to kill her and even tries to harm him. Jin tries to comfort her and tells her about his own sad past.
The episode ends with Jin preparing to do one last job with the help of Elena. He realizes that his end is near and copes with it.

5. About Joran: The Princess of Snow and Blood
Joran: The Princess of Snow and Blood is an original anime by Bushiroad and Sonilude. Studio Bakken Record is animating it, and it’s slated to debut in April 2021.
The anime is set in an alternate story of Japan in which the Tokugawa shogunate was never abolished.
“Nue,” a group of executioners hired by the shogunate, enforce government rules while Sawa Yukimura seeks revenge for her family against the Nue.
