As expected, Joost Klein did his first Eurovision Song Contest rehearsal in his well-known blue suit with pointed shoulders. More striking was that his good friend Appie Mussa is dressed as a blue bird.
Until now, hardly anything was known about Klein’s act, except that his friends Appie Mussa and Martijn van Eijzeren, better known as the Stuntkabouter, participate. Klein is also flanked by two dancers in white tracksuits. Some of the lyrics of the song are displayed on the screens European Pope shown.

On Monday, upon departure from Schiphol, he told the press that he regrets that images of his show have already come online and that the surprise has now more or less been lost. It “ruined the joke”, he thought. “You’re not going to film rehearsals for a magician, are you?”
Second rehearsal
Klein was given a total of half an hour to rehearse Europapa in the Malmö Arena on Tuesday. The rehearsal is not only for him, but also for all the technicians who will later film and illuminate Klein. In the coming days, Klein will have time to perfect his act. A second rehearsal is scheduled for Friday.
Next Thursday Klein will be in the second semi-final. He will then compete with fifteen other countries for a total of ten final tickets.
