Last night Klein was in the semi-finals in Sweden with his song ‘Europapa.’ It was his turn last, but that spoiled the fun. Because he can go through to the final with nine other countries. “I did it!” he says on television. Yesterday, Latvia, Austria, Israel, Norway, Greece, Estonia, Switzerland, Georgia and Armenia also advanced to the final.
Emotional
Klein was hit during his performance. He put his hands over his eyes. He also says during the press conference after the performance that he is thinking about many things. ‘I think of all the orphans in the world. I think about people who forget other people. I think of teachers who are bullied in the classroom. I think about people who don’t have a home. I think all day about people who miss their flights, about people without money. I think about a lot of things.’
Technical improvements
There were also improvements in how the performance was filmed with a camera. The camera quality was better in the evening performance than during the dress rehearsal. Also, the animations (drawings made on the computer) did not work during the dress rehearsal, but did work during the evening show.
Finale
Klein will be fifth tomorrow. You can watch the final of the Eurovision Song Contest here Saturday, May 11 at 9 p.m.
