Joost Klein thinks it is a shame that the organization behind the Eurovision Song Contest is already releasing images of his rehearsals this week. That spoils “the joke” a bit, the Dutch entry said to the press upon departure from Schiphol on Monday.
“Eurovision’s social media could be a bit better, that’s not quite my style,” says Klein. “So you can probably enjoy everything already.” Klein is referring to the photos and videos that are released from each rehearsal, even though they are private. He would have preferred if his act remained completely secret. “You’re not going to film rehearsals for a magician, are you?”
Klein did not want to reveal anything else about his show on Monday. His first rehearsal is scheduled for Tuesday, the second will follow on Friday.
Next Thursday Klein will be in the second semi-final. He will then compete with fifteen other countries for a total of ten final tickets.
