If it is up to Joost Eerdmans, he will also be the leader of JA21 in the upcoming elections. Eerdmans announced this this morning on X. Eerdmans says he is also surprised that he wants to work for the same party again.
“Yes, I was shocked myself, to be honest,” says Eerdmans. “But it really seems that I will not be setting up a new party, and that I will not have to rake together another list of professional opportunists. I still have to get used to the idea.”
Yet Eerdmans does not rule out a new party either. “Never say never. Of course: I myself want to stay with JA21, the board wants it too, but we will probably find a reason to get into each other’s hair in the near future.”
