Goalkeeper Joonas Korpisalo delivered a solid performance against the Chicago Blackhawks, allowing the Columbus Blue Jackets to come off with a 2-1 win on Friday night at United Center.
The home side tried everything to avoid a third straight loss, but Korpisalo stood up like a wall, especially in the second half. The Finn faced 19 pucks in that game alone, only yielding to Dylan Strome on the power play.

Korpisalo eventually blocked 31 shots to collect his second win of the season. He also reserved his best stop of the evening for Patrick Kane, frustrating him at close range with his blocker, when there were only three minutes to complete.
Oliver Bjorkstrand collected one goal and one assist in this meeting. He first made the lantern sparkle in the first period, thanks to an excellent shot on reception. The Dane then became an accomplice in the net for Eric Robinson, who scrambled to the left with speed before beating Kevin Lankinen with a wrist shot in the upper part.
If this is indeed a third straight loss for Chicago, it is quite the opposite for Columbus, who is on a seven-game streak with at least one point. The Jackets are 4-0-3 since January 18.
