For almost four years, Jony Ive is no longer Apple’s chief product designer, ending a long collaboration and creating iconic products at the company. After a long hiatus, he’s back with his hand in the design of Linn’s anniversary turntable.
It is a collaboration between LoveFrom, a company founded by Ívas, and a wide range of turntables, Linn, who are celebrating their 50th anniversary. To mark the special event, only 250 copies of the LP12-50 model were created, which was designed by Ivs himself. It must be admitted, however, that he could not fully express himself and change the design of the player, because several replaceable parts are intended for it.

Therefore, the LP12-50 model is very similar to the predecessor LP-12. The new turntable features rounded frets as well as a more rounded play needle holder. The lid hinges and buttons have also received changes. Therefore, the changes are really more visual, but not technically different, for which Ivs is also responsible. This is his gift for the anniversary of the Linn company, because he himself has been the owner of the products of this brand for several years.
Since this will be an exclusive product, its price will be just as impressive – 60 thousand dollars, which is not a surprise, since one of the most famous names in the industry put his hand to it.
Taste is usually not an issue, but what do you think of Linn’s spacious turntable design?
