“Jonquière Hospital Expansion Costs Double in Four Years, Reaching $76M”

The costs of expansion and redevelopment related to the Jonquière hospital are exploding: according to Le Quotidien, in four years, the cost of operations doubles, from $30 million in 2018 to currently stand at 76 M$.

The increase in the cost of materials and labor largely explain the significant fluctuation. The Société québécoise des infrastructures is in charge of the project. The planned expansion is 225m2.

The MP for Jonquière, Yannick Gagnon, nevertheless considers that despite the increase in costs, this is good news, seeing that the project will soon be set in motion.
