WOLVERHAMPTON – Spanish defender Jonny (29) is experiencing one of the worst seasons in his career and this period resulted in a real outburst of emotions. At the training of his team, he first attacked a teammate, then spat on one of the members of the coaching team, and finally demolished the equipment in the common areas. The Spanish footballer made his mark at senior level at Celta Vigo, where he became one of the mainstays of his team. In 2018, he left for Atlético Madrid, for which he did not start even once and immediately went on loan to Wolverhampton, which eventually turned into a permanent transfer.
In the first seasons, he was one of the mainstays of this team and even appeared in the Spanish national team, for which he made 3 starts. This season, however, he has only scored in one league game and won’t score another one anytime soon.

We talked about what will happen now and we agreed that he will not be part of the first team until at least the end of January. He can still train and play with the junior to keep fit. One incident will not change the role he had with us,” Hobbs said.
