The two friends comedian Jonis Josef and actor Isak Noor are both relevant in the TV 2 series «Kasko».
The series premieres on February 26, and they are both very excited:

The phone call that created the idea
The commission deals with the story of the Norwegian-Somali “Jamal” who lives his best life without worries. Then he goes personal bankrupt and has to get a job. Then he gets a job as an insurance investigator.
Josef has written the script together with Mikael Samuelsen and Jenny Vuong, but it was a very special story that accelerated the idea.
A friend of Josef and Noor called to say that he had tried to call his insurance company to report his phone stolen.
When he was going to do that, he had called with his own phone.
– When they said: “Which phone are you calling now?” he panicked and hung up. When we heard that, we thought it was so much fun, and then a few days pass before I am woken up by Jonis who says: “I have an insanely good idea!”, Says Noor.
By then, the start of the commission «Kasko» was already underway.
Did not have enough money
Josef himself has experienced financial problems such as the main character he plays in the series.
– I have had a lot of money problems, Josef says to Good evening Norway and continues.
– I did not have enough money to make my life go up, and did not prioritize the bills.
The comedian further says that there was interest and debt collection, and he was, among other things, thrown out of an apartment that he rented.
– After many years of stress hanging over me, I said: “Now I have to do something about it.” I got out of it in the end, and it was a very exciting era in my life, says Josef.
It was a special resemblance between Josef and his “Kasko” character that became interesting.
– A fun fact is that when we completed the series in August, I received a tax bill in September that was as high as what the grade has received.
The invoice was NOK 650,000.
– It is «art by accident», Josef laughs.
Nominated for award
Although the series has not managed to reach the TV screen yet, it has already managed to stay nominated for the European Series Award Mania.
“Kasko” is the only Norwegian TV series that has been nominated, Josef and Noor are very proud of.
– It’s very fun and cool. They call the prize “the TV Oscar”, Josef smiles.
The comedian has spent the whole of 2021 recording and making the TV 2 series, and is very proud of the result.
– I think people are pleasantly surprised, he says.
