Jonathan Rousselle (1.95m, 32) has completed a three-season cycle at Surne Bilbao Basket to play next season in Dijon, as he himself announced at a farewell press conference held by the Basque club.
“The time has come for me to leave after three unforgettable years for me and my family. I was very lucky to be able to live this experience. I am a better player, a better person and a better father than when I arrived and I will keep that for the rest of my life,” he said.
The president of Bilbao Basket, Isabel Iturbe, and the sports director, Rafa Pueyo thanked the Northerner for his investment.
“Jou personalizes certain values in which we feel recognized. Commitment, effort, camaraderie and an example of a team player. It’s a sad day because he is a player much loved by the club and the fans who is leaving, but we know that we are going to have the best possible ambassador for Bilbao Basket in France”.
Statistically, Jonathan Rousselle’s 2021-22 season was significantly lower than the previous two with 5.5 points, 2.4 assists and 1.3 rebounds, in 17′ per game.
