Jonathan Majors sentenced to domestic violence course after assault and harassment case: Details & Updates

The assault and harassment case faced by actor Jonathan Majors has come to an end. This morning, a Manhattan judge handed down the sentence to Majors and although he will not go to prison, he will have to complete a course on domestic violence.

According to information published by “Variety” magazine, the actor appeared in court this Monday, where he was given a 52-week sentence in an in-person program in Los Angeles, this after he was arrested in January of this year. convicted of physically and emotionally violating his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

Additionally, the judge noted that Majors must continue with the psychological therapy he is currently receiving and provide a written report on his progress. A permanent protection order was also imposed on Jabbari, which prohibits Majors from having any type of contact with her, if not respected he could end up behind bars.

The site also explained that the lack of a criminal record was what freed the actor from a sentence of up to one year behind bars, as explained by the judge in charge of the case.

Although Majors avoided reacting publicly to his sentence and refused to give any type of statement, the one who did speak was Jabbari, and she not only admitted to being dissatisfied with the result; But she stated that her ex’s lack of repentance and her behavior makes him a danger to women; She even said she was convinced that she would attack someone again.

“I will not rest until he is no longer a danger. He refuses to acknowledge fault and take responsibility. He remains a danger to everyone around him. I have seen his anger and he has no control over it,” he said.
