Today, we learn that one of the stars of Marvel has been arrested by the New York police. It’s Jonathan Majors, who plays Kang The Conqueror in Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According TMZwho published the information last night, Jonathan Majors allegedly slapped and strangled a woman, who would be his girlfriend, in a taxi, returning from a bar.
According to police information transmitted to the American media, and since taken up by all the Hollywood press, the 30-year-old allegedly overheard text messages written by another woman on the actor’s mobile phone, and confronted him. A violent argument then broke out.
The alleged victim was then dropped off at an unidentified location, and Jonathan Majors went to bed. In the morning, girlfriend allegedly sued Jonathan Majors. Majors was handcuffed and taken into custody. He has since been released, and his lawyer says the actor did nothing wrong.
It is unknown for the time being what follow-up this event will have on the career and reputation of Jonathan Majors. However, if the facts were to be verified, Disney may well make the decision to recast the character.
