Jonathan Majors Accused of Physical and Emotional Abuse by Two More Women
The Creed III and Ant-Man 3 actor is currently awaiting sentencing for assault and harassment
Allegations of Abuse Emerge
Actor Jonathan Majors has been accused of physical and emotional abuse by two more women, according to a report by the New York Times. This comes at a time when the 34-year-old is awaiting sentencing for assaulting and harassing another former partner, adding to his already troubled legal situation.
The Testimonies
Both ex-girlfriends of Jonathan Majors, Emma Duncan and Maura Hooper, have come forward with disturbing accounts of their relationships with the actor. Duncan, who was engaged to Majors between 2015 and 2019, alleges that she experienced physical abuse during their time together.
Duncan claims that while visiting Majors on the set of the western Hostiles, she discovered messages between him and another woman. When she started packing her things, she alleges that Majors became violent, pushing her onto a couch and choking her. He proceeded to throw her across the room while making explicit threats. Duncan further alleges that Majors physically assaulted her on multiple occasions, with incidents such as slamming her against a mailbox and throwing her to the ground.
Hooper, Majors’ former girlfriend, accuses him of emotional abuse and controlling behavior. She reveals that Majors isolated her from her support system and prevented her from speaking to others about their relationship. Additionally, after Hooper became pregnant, she claims that Majors influenced her decision to undergo an abortion.
The Response
Jonathan Majors’ lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, has denied all allegations of physical abuse, but admitted that the relationships were toxic. Chaudhry stated that Majors takes responsibility for his role in these relationships and regrets saying hurtful things.
Misconduct on Set
The Hollywood actor has also faced accusations of improper behavior while filming the HBO drama Lovecraft Country. Several coworkers have claimed that Majors exhibited threatening behavior, made derogatory racial remarks, and acted in a difficult manner towards women. As a result, HBO received complaints from three women, leading to Majors’ apology where he deemed the incidents as a misunderstanding. Chaudhry claims that Majors has never been informed of any objections to his behavior.
