The pastor of Jonathan Isaac announced what looks like a small miracle on the scale of basketball: the 25-year-old player will return to the NBA floors! His return is scheduled for this Monday, during the match between the Boston Celtics and the Orlando Magic. If he were to set foot on the field, it would be a first since August 2020 for the Florida winger.
It is after the words of the pastor thatESPN contacted the Magic to find out more. Isaac is indeed likely to play against Boston, although it is not yet a certainty. Touched in the knee in January 2020 then again in August of the same year, the sixth choice of the 2017 draft therefore comes out of two white seasons.
He returned to competition a few weeks ago, but with the affiliated franchise in the G-League. And he did well. Jonathan Isaac averaged over 15 points and 6 rebounds in just over 17 minutes over the three games he played. Convincing performances which should therefore open the doors of the first team to him.
A time considered Orlando’s great hope, he is the highest paid player in the squad. He is posting 9.3 points and 5.4 career rebounds.
