China Open 2023 has entered the semifinal round. Jonathan Christie become the remaining representative of Indonesia, and will challenge the top seed Viktor Axelsen.
The semifinals of the China Open 2023 will be held on Saturday (9/9/2023). The match starts at 10.00 WIB or 09.00 WIB.
The duel between Jonathan vs Axelsen will be staged in the seventh match at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium. Jonatan qualified after winning the “civil war” against Shesar Hiren Rhustavito 21-12, 21-17, while Axelsen beat Singapore badminton player Loh Kean Yew 21-17, 23-21.
The match will mark the 11th meeting between the two badminton players. Axelsen dominates after bagging eight wins, including five in a row in the last five meetings.
Only two wins were obtained Jonathan Christie from the Danish player. The last time Jonathan beat Axelsen was in the semifinals of the French Open four years ago.
