Jonathan Christie Champion of Indonesia Masters 2023

Jonathan Christie come out as champions Indonesia Masters 2023. Jonathan won the all Indonesian final against Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo.

In the final match of the Indonesia Masters 2023 at Istora Senayan, Sunday (29/1/2023) afternoon WIB, Jonathan won two straight games over Chico. Jonathan finished the match with a score of 21-15, 21-13 in 44 minutes.

The match was pretty tight at the start. Jonathan had a 10-7 lead after Chico smashed wide. Even though Chico got close, Jonathan finally entered the interval with an 11-9 advantage.

Jonathan started to stay away 14-10 after Chico made two consecutive errors. However, Jonathan then also made a mistake that made Chico close the gap.

Jonathan won a 51-shot long rally to take a 17-15 lead after Chico shot wide. Jonathan then won consecutive points to secure the first game 21-15.

Jonathan started the second game well. However, his lead was trimmed and Chico turned 7-5.

Jonathan snatched four straight points to take a 9-7 lead. He was able to maintain his lead into the interval at 11-8.

Since winning 14-11, Jonathan continues to go fast by getting five points in a row. While Chico began to be overwhelmed. Jonathan finally won 21-13 via cross smack.

Indonesia still has the opportunity to add another title at the 2023 Indonesia Masters from the men’s doubles number. Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin will face Zhou Hao Dong/He Ji Ting.
