A left-handed central marker was looking for Sergio Rondina as the main reinforcement for his squad. He never had doubts in the aim and neither did he hesitate for a second to communicate with him. Jonathan Bottinelli, still 36 years old, is synonymous with defensive guarantee and his last season at Rosario Central proved it.
Nor did the footballer himself seem to hesitate when making the decision to return to Sarandí and thus manifests it: “Before my departure from Central, the Egg (Rondina) had already called me to tell me that he wanted to count on me for this season. It immediately seemed to me that the club met all the conditions that I needed for this moment of my career”, he claimed.
When describing these conditions, the footballer remarked: “The team has a clear idea of the game, a manager that I know and respect and also all this gave me the possibility of being in Buenos Aires again close to my family”, he described.
With all his experience in tow, the current Arsenal defender provided his vision regarding his new team: “We are very well, the squad comes from doing two good tournaments in the First Division, it has great players and a consolidated and very clear idea of the game. We are here to grow and fight at the top of the table”, he assured.
On his individual performance seven days ago in the defeat suffered against Banfield, Bottinelli stated: “I felt very good, the sensations were very good. The result hurts but this is football, we will keep trying”he declared.
Finally, the defender left his impression on the match against Aldosivi to come: “We prepare well, we know we face a good team but we are doing well and with the illusion of being able to win our first match in the tournament”, ended.
