It has already been reported that Jasikonis was in an artificial coma after the fall at the World Cup in Italy on Sunday.

The ninth stage of the Motocross World Championship took place in the Italian city of Mantua on Sunday. The race was prematurely closed by the Lithuanian Jasikonis, who suffered a severe fall, as a result of which he was later taken to a local hospital.

The decision for an artificially induced coma was made because the athlete suffered a head injury.

The Lithuanian Motorsport Federation reports that Jasikonis has awakened from a coma and moved from the intensive care unit to the regular unit. As the Lithuanian’s health condition improves, doctors decide on his further treatment process. It is planned that Jasikonis rehabilitation will continue in Austria.

Also the second Husqvarna driver Paul Jonass is currently recovering from an injury. It is expected that the Latvian could return to the track in the last stages of the season or next season. Of course, next year Jonas will go to another team.

Jasikonis scored a total of 248 points this season, which allows him to take the ninth place in the overall standings.

MXGP There are currently 18 stages in the calendar of the season, three of which took place in Latvia on the Ķegums track in August.
