Earlier this year, Jonah Kusi-Asare became AIK’s youngest ever debutant.

Now he has reached another milestone.

In the first European Championship qualifying match for Sweden’s u17 national team, he struck with a hat-trick and scored all of Sweden’s goals in the 3-2 victory against Moldova.

Sweden found themselves at an early disadvantage but turned the match into a 2-1 lead.

Moldova equalized at 2-2, but after Kusi-Asare’s 3-2 goal after just over an hour of play, Moldova could not recover and Sweden won.

On Saturday, the European Championship qualifiers continue when Sweden faces Latvia.

Jonah Kusi-Asare has played two Allsvenskan matches for AIK this season. His father, Jones Kusi-Asare, is an icon at rivals Djurgården and played for the club between 1999 and 2001 and between 2005 and 2008.
