26-year-old Ionas Karousis had gone out to shop and fell dead during the terrorist attack.
His father Dimitris Karousis spoke to Live News initially about the terrorist attack:
“He went to do a project in architecture, he’s in his final year, to map various metro stations in Tel Aviv and he was shot. Terrorist act at 7 pm in Jaffa, Tel Aviv.
In the evening we had no contact with him and had to look for him. He had no battery in his cell phone and at 12 they came here in addition to the army and the police to alert us. It has eight victims in total, eight killed and as many injured. Outside”.
“Once he found a job, he was to start next week. He had a new house, a girlfriend from Greece and everything was destroyed»said Jonah’s father.
In conclusion, Mr. Karousis emphasized:
“The madness of this war. The world must know that this madness must stop, both sides are crazy. One with the Koran and the other with the Old Testament. This is the situation. How can there be peace with these two?’
How the deadly attack happened
The Greek citizen is among the seven dead in yesterday’s terrorist attack at a tram station in Tel Aviv.
The attack was carried out by two terrorists who used a gun and a sharp object and fell dead immediately after being shot.
According to Palestinian sources, one of the terrorists who carried out the attack in Jaffa is Mohammed Rashid from Hebron.
