After eleven years together, of which four as married, the skiers Jon Olsson and Janni Delér announced that they have chosen to separate in the summer of 2022. Just over a year later, Jon is now talking about the divorce in the season finale of “Renée’s bridge”.
– We traveled a lot, we both worked at the same thing and could travel around the world. Then maybe we grew up a little bit and realized that we are probably a little too different for this to work smoothly, says Jon in the program.
Together they have children Leon and Leia, who were two and one year old respectively when Jon and Janni went their separate ways.
– We realized that it is better that we are two happy parents who are not together but who have a very good relationship, says Jon.
The reactions after the divorce
In connection with Jon and Janni going through with their divorce, rumors about their breakup began to circulate, such as that infidelity would be the reason why they chose to separate. Jon and Janni, who both have over a million followers on social media, later denied it in a YouTube video, clarifying that nothing happened between them, but that it was a mutual decision.
– It is clear that it has been super tough, precisely because none of us want it to be like this. You must explain to the children that “this is mother’s home and this is father’s home,” says Jon.
– But what is sad is people’s reactions, that they find pictures of what happened, he continues.
