Jon Cardenas, one of the most internationally prestigious Venezuelan photographers, will have a stellar participation in the next “Venezuelan Art Fair” (Venezuelan Art Fair), with his series of photographs entitled “Synonym of Freedom ”. It is a meeting between various representatives of contemporary art that will take place from June 24 to 26 at the gallery One Art Space (Manhattan) from New York City, where more than 70 Venezuelan artists will participate. This is the first fair of its kind to be held in the Big Apple, where graphic designers, illustrators, painters, photographers, sculptors and many other artists born in the national territory converge.
Cardenas He gained a lot of notoriety from 2016 when he climbed the mythical Tower of David in Caracas, together with a group of photographers to make a report, an experience that almost cost him his life. From there he took a series of photographs of the Venezuelan flag waving on the rooftop and one of them especially went viral after being used as a symbol of hope for millions of Venezuelans.
